गामची टिमरे आर मराक एक शिक्षिका हैं और पिछले तीन दशकों से पूर्वोत्तर भारत के दूरदराज़ इलाके में बसे शहर विलियमनगर में रहकर बच्चों को शिक्षित कर रही हैं। उन्हें उनके काम के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार से भी नवाज़ा जा चुका है।

गुवाहाटी के पास पमोही गाँव के स्कूल पारिजात एकेडमी में बच्चों को मुफ़्त में पढ़ाई के साथ कई तरह के हुनर भी सिखाए जाते हैं; इन दिनों छात्राओं को सैनिटरी पैड बनाना सिखाया जा रहा है।

Karna Telenga helped set up a school in a village in Sivasagar district of Assam to educate underprivileged children of tea garden workers. Despite losing his vision in an accident, he continued to teach them. He passed away this month on August 1.
